Financial Guidance Through Life’s Transitions
Losing a spouse, preparing to retire, or receiving an inheritance can bring financial questions alongside emotional uncertainty. You may be wondering what needs attention first, how to manage your investments, or whether you can comfortably spend the money you have worked hard to save.
My approach begins with listening. Together, we organize your financial picture, clarify your priorities, and build a personalized plan that helps you make informed decisions at a pace that feels manageable.
Depending on your needs, our work may include:
Financial planning after the loss of a spouse: Organizing accounts, reviewing income and expenses, evaluating beneficiary designations, and coordinating with your tax and legal professionals.
Retirement planning: Connecting your savings, investments, pensions, and Social Security decisions with your retirement goals.
Retirement income planning: Developing a withdrawal strategy that considers spending needs, taxes, and the long-term role of your investments.
Investment management: Aligning your portfolio with your goals, time horizon, risk tolerance, and changing circumstances.
Tax-aware planning: Evaluating how investment and retirement decisions affect your broader tax picture, including potential Roth conversions and required minimum distributions.
Inherited wealth planning: Helping you understand your options and organize decisions before making significant financial changes.
Connecting Financial Planning and Tax Strategy
My CFP® certification and Enrolled Agent credential bring complementary perspectives to financial planning. As an Enrolled Agent, I am federally authorized to represent taxpayers before the IRS.
This background helps me consider the tax implications of financial decisions alongside your retirement needs, investment goals, and family priorities. My goal is to help you understand how the pieces fit together so you can move forward with greater clarity.
Education and Professional Background
I have more than 20 years of experience in the financial industry. My education includes dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Finance and International Business from SUNY New Paltz and an Advanced Financial Planning Certificate from Bryant University.
I hold the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification and Enrolled Agent credential, along with Series 6, 7, 63, and 66 registrations through LPL Financial and life and health insurance licenses.
Rooted in the Hudson Valley Community
Outside my professional work, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Antonio, and our children, strength training, reading, continuing my education, and participating in our local church and community.
My community involvement has included the Rhinebeck Rotary Club, the Rhinebeck Chamber of Commerce board, leadership with the Northern Dutchess BNI chapter, volunteer work with Ulster County BOCES, and Northern Dutchess Hospital’s “Light the Village Pink” breast cancer fundraising initiative.
Building lasting relationships matters to me in my community and in my practice. I value the opportunity to support individuals and families across generations.
